Dan, another potential partner in the game, will probably be one of the most sought out ones, as his companionship will allow the player to execute a devastating ground-breaker type of attack, as well as hover in a slow descending arc after jumping once Dan teaches Arthur. This will allow the player to reach shortcuts that are otherwise inaccessible.

Though a tanuki himself, Dan has learned his hover technique from watching the flying squirrels in his forest.
